PA Non-Believers Protest Rendell's Refusal to Support "National Day of Reason" HARRISBURG -- Some non-believers are speaking-out against Governor Ed Rendell. "Pennsylvanian Non-Belivers Incorporated" met in the capitol to discuss Rendell's refusal to recognize a "National Day of Reason." The group was upset over "National Prayer Day" and the Governor's refusal to issue a day for their views. Reason should prevail every day of the year. Prayer, we will set aside one day a year for prayer but reason should prevail everyday of the year," said group president Steven Newbauer. PA Non-Believers think human reason is a more powerful alternative than prayer, and celebrate free thinking. Copyright 2004 WPMT-TV, Harrisburg
